PSA brings National ID services to Bacolod caravan

BACOLOD CITY, Negros Occidental — The Philippine Statistics Authority’s Negros Occidental Provincial Statistical Office provided National ID services during the Handog ng Pangulo 2026 caravan at Negros Occidental High School on Sept. 14.

The activity gave residents of Bacolod and nearby communities access to National ID registration alongside other government services at a single venue.

The nationwide caravan was spearheaded by the Presidential Management Staff under the Office of the President to bring frontline government programs and services closer to communities.

PSA Negros Occidental deployed a mobile registration team to handle National ID registration and related services. Residents could also access services offered by other participating government agencies.

The PSA said its participation supported efforts to make public services more accessible, efficient, and responsive through mobile and community-based delivery.

The caravan also allowed participating agencies to coordinate the delivery of services around residents’ needs, the agency said.

The National ID provides valid proof of identity for government and private transactions, subject to authentication. It is available in card, paper, and digital formats, according to the PSA.

The agency said its participation reflected its commitment to making National ID services more accessible and encouraged residents to use its services and join community outreach activities.
