PSA brings National ID services across Western Visayas

ILOILO CITY — The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office VI brought National ID registration and civil registration services closer to communities across Western Visayas through the 2026 Handog ng Pangulo Program on Sept. 14.

National ID registration teams were deployed simultaneously in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, and Iloilo as part of the nationwide government service caravan.

In Aklan, services were offered at the ABL Sports Complex in Barangay Estancia and Tigayon Elementary School in Barangay Tigayon, both in Kalibo.

In Antique, the PSA team was deployed at the Binirayan Gymnasium in Barangay 7, San Jose.

In Capiz, National ID services were available at the Robinsons Place Activity Area in Lawaan, Roxas City, and Capiz National High School.

In Guimaras, the PSA provided services at the Guimaras Capitol.

In Iloilo, PSA teams were deployed at Western Visayas Medical Center, Don Jose S. Monfort Medical Center, the Iloilo Provincial Capitol, and West Visayas State University.

The deployment brought National ID services directly to beneficiaries at provincial government facilities, schools, hospitals, and other accessible venues.

Residents were able to register for the National ID and seek assistance with other National ID-related concerns without visiting fixed registration centers.

“The Handog ng Pangulo Program provides an opportunity for government agencies to bring essential services directly to the communities we serve. Through the deployment of our National ID and CRS teams, we are making these services more accessible to individuals and families who need them,” said PSA Western Visayas Regional Director Nelida C. Amolar.

Amolar said the PSA’s participation complemented the efforts of partner agencies to make government services more accessible at the community level.

Initial consolidated reports showed that PSA teams rendered 1,896 National ID-related services during the activity.

These included 198 National ID registrations, 907 issuances of the National ID in paper format, assistance to 135 clients accessing the Digital National ID, 602 Transaction Reference Number retrievals, and 54 updating transactions.

PSA RSSO VI also provided civil registry documents free of charge during the activity.

A total of 697 civil registry documents printed on security paper were issued, including 265 copies at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol, while the remaining copies were issued in Aklan and Antique.

The Handog ng Pangulo Program is a nationwide service caravan designed to bring government programs directly to local communities.

Services offered through the program include health and medical assistance, police clearance, National ID and civil registration services, employment assistance, livelihood programs, and skills training.

Through its participation, PSA RSSO VI said it continues to expand access to National ID registration and Civil Registration Service programs across Western Visayas.
