KALIBO, Aklan — The Philippine Statistics Authority Aklan is conducting the 2025 Annual Survey of Philippine Business and Industry and the 2025 Survey of Tourism Establishments in the Philippines from April 27 to July 31, 2026.
The ASPBI gathers data on employment, revenue, expenses, e-commerce transactions, capital expenditures, and capacity utilization of establishments.
The STEP collects information on the characteristics, operations, and performance of tourism-related establishments.
Data from the surveys will be used to generate key indicators on tourism supply and capacity, including the inventory of facilities and services, employment, revenue, and other metrics that support planning and policy formulation for government and private sector stakeholders.
The PSA has cleared the 2025 ASPBI and STEP under the Statistical Survey Review and Clearance System, with survey results expected to be released on April 30, 2027.
Four hired statistical researchers were deployed across Aklan to distribute and collect 365 ASPBI questionnaires and 126 STEP questionnaires from sample establishments.
To ensure accessibility and convenience, the ASPBI and STEP questionnaires are available in three formats: an online version, an editable PDF or Excel file, and printed copies.
Statistical researchers will distribute and collect printed copies one week after the sample establishments receive them.
The options are intended to make data collection more efficient and convenient for participating establishments.
“We strongly encourage all sample establishments to actively participate in this survey, by providing accurate and truthful information to support data-driven insights for business and industry,” said Antonet B. Catubuan, chief statistical specialist.
The PSA assured responding business establishments that all information collected will be kept strictly confidential under the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
