PSA Aklan requires online appointments for civil registry requests

KALIBO, Aklan — The Philippine Statistics Authority Aklan Provincial Statistical Office will require clients requesting civil registry documents at the Civil Registry System Kalibo Outlet to book an appointment online starting Oct. 5, 2026.

Clients must book through the Civil Registration Service Appointment System at appointment.psa.gov.ph and follow the instructions on the website.

PSA Aklan said the appointment system is intended to manage daily client volume and make the issuance of civil registry documents more organized, efficient, and convenient.

The PSA issues civil registry documents such as birth, marriage, and death certificates, as well as Certificates of No Marriage, or CENOMAR.

Appointment booking is free, and the appointment slip generated after booking is nontransferable.

The appointment slip must bear the name of the requester who will personally transact at the CRS outlet.

PSA Aklan will also discontinue the special lane for National ID holders once the appointment system is fully implemented.

“This means that whether the client presents his or her national ID in any form, he or she still needs to provide proof of appointment booking before they can be accommodated,” Dr. Peter S. Mangilog, OIC-Chief Statistical Specialist, said.

The policy is consistent with PSA’s broader implementation of its Civil Registration Service Appointment System, which also requires National ID holders to secure appointments before requesting civil registry documents at covered CRS outlets.

Walk-in transactions will remain available for people with disabilities, senior citizens, and pregnant women, provided the requested civil registry document pertains to the applicant, the applicant’s parents, or the applicant’s child.

Clients are advised to arrive at the outlet before their scheduled appointment time to help ensure a smooth and timely transaction.

Those who miss their scheduled appointment must book a new appointment before they can be accommodated.
