Filipino-American alpine skier Tallulah Proulx concluded her historic campaign at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics after finishing 50th overall in the women’s slalom at the Tofane Alpine Skiing Centre on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old from Utah posted a combined time of 2:08.48, which placed her +29:38 behind gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin.
Proulx clocked 1:02.93 in the first run to rank 61st among the 64 alpine skiers who completed it out of 95 starters.
She improved her standing in the second run, recording a time of 1:05.55 to move up to 50th among the 53 finishers.
American ski icon Shiffrin claimed gold with a total time of 1:39.10, ending her Olympic medal drought and marking her first Winter Games gold since the 2018 Pyeongchang Games.
The victory was Shiffrin’s third Olympic gold medal in an already decorated career that includes eight World Cup championship titles.
She dominated both runs in the women’s slalom event to add yet another medal to her celebrated collection.
Switzerland’s Camille Rast bagged the silver medal with a time of 1:40.60, while Sweden’s Anna Swenn Larsson clinched bronze in 1:40.81.
Proulx made history for the Philippines as the country’s first and youngest Filipina Winter Olympian, having competed in both the giant slalom and the slalom at these Games.
She earlier placed 52nd in the women’s giant slalom, where she was one of four 17-year-olds among the 76 female alpine skiers in the field.
The slalom result wrapped up the Philippines’ entire campaign at the 2026 Winter Games.
Fellow Filipino Olympian Francis Ceccarelli, a Filipino-Italian alpine skier, had earlier concluded his stint on Monday after registering a did-not-finish in the men’s slalom following a crash on the demanding course amid rough conditions.
Ceccarelli had previously finished 54th in the men’s giant slalom in his Winter Games debut.
