Prometheus, the only full-service marketing agency in Western Visayas, made history as the sole agency from the province to win at the 60th Anvil Awards.
The agency secured a Silver Anvil Award for Best Public Relations-Led Integrated Campaign and another Silver Anvil Award in the Public Relations Tools – Special Events category for its “Ilonggo Stories That Continue With You” campaign, which celebrated Daily Guardian’s 22nd anniversary.
Prometheus was the only Western Visayas-based agency recognized at the awards ceremony, held at Manila Hotel on Jan. 28, 2025.
Chief Executive Officer Lcid Crescent Fernandez, Executive Creative Director Francis Gino Fanega, and Copywriter Sean Rafio accepted the awards on behalf of the agency’s 50+ employees.
The Anvil Awards, presented by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), is the highest recognition in Philippine public relations, honoring outstanding PR campaigns, tools, and initiatives.

Transforming Iloilo Into a Living Archive
The “Ilonggo Stories That Continue With You” campaign featured ten uniquely crafted markers placed across Iloilo City and Iloilo Province.
Each marker contained a headline, a lead, and a hollowed-out section, allowing passersby to view the exact location of historical events.
To deepen engagement, the markers included QR codes linking to a microsite featuring the full story behind each historical moment.
The locations were carefully selected based on Daily Guardian’s 22 years of news coverage, ensuring that each marker held historical and cultural significance for the local community.

A Campaign That Captured Millions
The campaign generated 26.4 million impressions on Facebook, while its digital strategy drove Daily Guardian’s website visits to 311,000.
By placing markers at the actual locations of past news events, the campaign attracted the attention of 22.4 million viewers, transforming Iloilo into a living archive of its own narratives.
The initiative turned casual strolls into interactive learning experiences, bringing the city’s history to life through innovative storytelling.
