The Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 formally welcomed 24 newly appointed patrolmen and 24 non-uniformed personnel during an oath-taking and turnover ceremony on Dec. 26, 2025, at the PRO6 Grandstand, Camp Gen. Martin Teofilo B. Delgado in Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City.
The ceremony, led by Police Brigadier General Josefineo D. Ligan, marked a significant step in strengthening the region’s police workforce and improving public service delivery across Western Visayas.
Of the 24 new patrolmen, 23 were part of the regular quota while one filled the attrition quota, completing the agency’s 420-quota requirement for calendar year 2025.
The newly appointed patrolmen were sourced from three different Police Regional Offices, showcasing strong inter-regional coordination within the Philippine National Police (PNP).
Six patrolmen came from PRO 9, 10 from PRO 4A, and eight from PRO 4B.
The simultaneous induction of 24 non-uniformed personnel was also held to enhance the agency’s administrative and operational support capabilities.
PBGen. Ligan emphasized the importance of both uniformed and non-uniformed personnel in maintaining public order and trust.
He reminded the recruits that professionalism, integrity, and respect for human rights should remain central to their service, regardless of whether they are on the front lines or in support roles.
“To our 24 Non-Uniformed Personnel, your oath today is equally significant. While you may not wear the uniform, your service is woven into every successful operation, every efficient process, and every public service delivered by this organization,” Ligan said.
“You are the quiet professionals who ensure that systems work, records are accurate, and services reach the people. You remind us that public service is not defined by attire, but by dedication, competence, and integrity,” he added.
Ligan also urged all new personnel to embrace their roles with humility and purpose.
“As members of the [PNP] and as public servants, you are entrusted not only with authority, but with the trust of the Filipino people. Wear that trust carefully. Guard it fiercely. Honor it daily through your words, your decisions, and your actions,” he said.
The ceremony underscored PRO6’s ongoing commitment to building a professional, competent, and service-oriented police force dedicated to keeping Western Visayas safe, secure, and peaceful.
