Police Regional Office is now 100% compliant in the conduct of required number of investigation courses after opening the last three investigation courses for 2020.
PRO-6 recently opened the Investigation Officers Basic Course, Crime Scene First Responders Workshop and Scientific Methods of Processing Fingerprint and DNA Reference Sample Collection Seminar-Workshop at La Carmela De Boracay Function Hall, Malay, Aklan.
Police General Patrick A Villacorte attended the said activity as the inspirational speaker.
The three classes were administered by the Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division and were attended by 99 participants in all three courses.
Investigation Officers Basic Course has 50 participants, Crime Scene First Responders Workshop with 25 and Scientific Methods of Processing Fingerprint and DNA Reference Sample Collection Seminar-Workshop with 24.
This is the second batch of the Crime Scene First Responders Workshop and Scientific Methods of Processing Fingerprint and DNA Reference Sample Collection Seminar-Workshop that opened in Boracay, Island this year.
Meanwhile, the Investigation Officers Basic Course is being conducted online via Zoom and participants are mostly Chiefs of Police in Panay Island.
The Investigation Officers Basic Course is a requirement for every police officer to occupy positions in investigation sections and as chief of police.
PNP Chief Police General Camilo Pancratius Cascolan wants to develop among PNP personnel basic knowledge in crime investigation as part of his 9-point agenda for sustainable development.
PRO6 gives premium in the conduct of these kinds of investigation courses and trainings because every police officer is expected to be an investigator.
