PRO6 nets 171 drug suspects in July crackdown

The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO6) in Western Visayas sustained its anti-drug momentum in July 2025, conducting 130 operations across Western Visayas.
These operations led to the arrest of 171 individuals and the seizure of approximately 6,081 grams of suspected shabu and 30 grams of marijuana.
Of those arrested, 61 were classified as high-value individuals (HVIs), while 110 were street-level individuals (SLIs).
The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) led all units with 88 arrests from 77 operations.
It was followed by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) with 33 arrests from 25 operations, the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU) with 16 arrests from 7 operations, and the Capiz Police Provincial Office (CPPO) with 16 arrests from 11 operations.
In terms of drug volume recovered, RPDEU posted the largest haul, confiscating approximately 2,050 grams of suspected illegal drugs.
PRO6 Regional Director Police Brig. Gen. Josefino D. Ligan commended the operatives for their continued dedication in the campaign against illegal drugs.
“These numbers reflect your dedication and commitment to fulfilling your sworn duties,” Ligan said.
“Continue to exert effort in identifying the associates of these suspects and subject them to law enforcement operations if evidence warrants.”
The suspects are facing charges under Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
