to the arrest of 58 individuals and the seizure of over 1,500 grams of suspected shabu across Western Visayas.
Dubbed “Birada Semana,” the campaign ran from 12:00 midnight of October 20 to 11:59 p.m. of October 26, 2025, and covered a total of 48 police operations.
Authorities confiscated 1,591.4 grams of suspected shabu and 25 grams of marijuana, according to official reports released by PRO6.
Among those arrested were 16 High-Value Individuals (HVIs) and 42 Street-Level Individuals (SLIs), showing the breadth of the regionwide crackdown.
One of the most significant operations was carried out on October 24, 2025, around 12:12 p.m. in Zone 1, Barangay Airport, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
The Iloilo City Police Office Drug Enforcement Unit (ICPO-CDEU) apprehended two HVIs—alias “Shaggy,” 43, of Mandurriao, and alias “Juni,” 44, of Arevalo—along with 200 grams of suspected shabu.
Another buy-bust operation in Barangay Kauswagan, City Proper, at 11:46 p.m. on October 21, 2025, resulted in the arrest of alias “Jan Jan,” a 25-year-old market porter from City Proper.
Authorities seized 150 grams of suspected shabu during that operation, which was also conducted by ICPO-CDEU personnel.
On October 23, 2025, at approximately 10:00 p.m., a buy-bust in Zone 2, Barangay San Juan, Molo, Iloilo City, led to the arrest of four HVIs.
The suspects—alias “Tol/Bon2x,” 33; alias “Ron2,” 29; alias “JS,” 21; and alias “John,” 23—were caught with 142 grams of suspected shabu.
Three of the men are residents of Molo district, while the fourth is a resident of Guimaras province.
PBGEN Jose Ligan, PRO6 regional director, praised law enforcement teams for their diligence and aggressive pursuit of drug syndicates.
“These successful operations send a strong message that PRO6 remains firm and relentless in our campaign against illegal drugs,” Ligan said in a statement.
“We will not stop until our communities are safe and drug-free,” he added.
“Our commitment to a drug-free Western Visayas is unwavering.”
The regional police continue to appeal to the public to support anti-drug efforts by reporting suspicious activities in their neighborhoods.
