Two personnel assigned to Police Regional Office (PRO)-6’s intelligence unit were recognized for exemplary performance.
Lieutenant Colonel Antonio Benitez Jr., was named Best Junior PCO (police commission officer) for Administration while Staff Sergeant Aliza Joy Padilla was recognized as Best Junior PNCO (police non-commissioned officer) for Administration during the 121st Police Service Anniversary celebration.
President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. led the PSA celebration on Aug 8, 2022 at the PNP National Headquarters in Camp BGen Rafael T Crame, Quezon City.
Benitez is deputy chief of the Regional Intelligence Division 6 (RID-6) and concurrent chief of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU-6).
Padilla, on the other hand, is RID-6 administrative PNCO.
“Basically, it’s a collective effort sa management and administrative accomplishment,” Benitez said.
He said that handling of personnel could only work if all personnel would give their share.
Meanwhile, the San Jose de Buenavista Municipal Police Station in Antique province was awarded as “2022 Best Municipal Police Station of the Year.”
Major Benjo Clarite, San Jose police chief, received the award.
The Philippine National Police celebrates August 8 as Police Service Anniversary in commemoration of the joint founding anniversaries of the Philippine Constabulary established in 1901 and the Integrated National Police organized in 1975, both forerunner organizations of the contemporary PNP.
