PRO-6 Units Receive Computers from PSMBFI
Six police units under Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) received desktop computers and printers from the Public Safety Mutual Benefit Fund, Incorporated (PSMBFI) during a turnover ceremony held on Dec. 2, 2024, at the PRO-6 Multi-Purpose Hall. Six police units under Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) received desktop computers and printers from the Public Safety Mutual Benefit Fund, Incorporated (PSMBFI) during a turnover ceremony held on Dec. 2, 2024, at the PRO-6 Multi-Purpose Hall.
Police Major General Celso I. Pestaño, PSMBFI Vice President for Operations, led the handover during the flag-raising ceremony. The beneficiary units include:
- PNP Retirement and Benefits Administration Unit 6
- Aklan Police Provincial Office
- Aviation Security Group
- Regional Explosive Ordnance and Canine Unit 6
- Bacolod City Police Office
- La Carlota Component City Police Station
The donated equipment is expected to improve operational efficiency and enhance administrative capabilities across the recipient units.
The event also honored four PRO-6 personnel with the PNP Medal of Merit (Medalya ng Kagalingan) for their exceptional achievements in campaigns against illegal drugs and wanted individuals.
In his remarks, retired PMGen Pestaño praised the awardees for their dedication to public service and reaffirmed PSMBFI’s commitment to supporting police personnel.
“We always look for the welfare of our PNP personnel. We continuously provide sufficient and on-time support to every member of the PSMBFI because the members’ welfare is our priority,” Pestaño said.
PRO-6 Director Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky expressed his gratitude to PSMBFI for its timely assistance.
“We deeply appreciate the necessary support provided by PSMBFI, which ensures that our personnel can perform their duties more effectively,” he said.
The ceremony, attended by the PRO-6 Command Group, Regional and Special Staff, Chiefs of National Support Units, and personnel, highlighted the ongoing partnership between PSMBFI and the Philippine National Police in promoting efficiency and welfare within the ranks.
