The face and voice of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 has been promoted to the next higher rank.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Gilbert Gorero is now a police colonel following President Rodrigo Duterte’s approval of his promotion effective June 25, 2020.
Police Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan, Western Visayas police chief, administered Gorero’s oath and donning of rank insignia at the Maringal Lounge of the PRO-6 headquarters in Camp Delgado on July 1, 2020.
In his speech, Gorero cited his family, superiors and colleagues and the Philippine National Police leadership for the trust, support and confidence given to him.
“I accept the new challenge of bigger responsibilities that goes with my new rank,” Gorero said.
Meanwhile, Pamuspusan said he could not be happier for Gorero’s well-deserved promotion.
“As you enjoy your new rank, please bear in mind that more is expected of you as you go up the professional ladder, but nevertheless I know that you can handle it well based on your good service reputation,” he said.
Gorero concurrently holds the position of acting chief of the Regional Plans Strategy Management Division, officer-in-charge of the Regional Public Information Office, and acting chief of the Regional Police Strategy Management Unit.
