The office of the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) formally turned over 500 pieces of personal protective equipment to the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 intended for the use of police frontliners in Western Visayas.
OCD regional director Roberto Nuñez personally turned over the PPEs to Police General Patrick T Villacorte, PRO-6Deputy Regional Director for Administration during the Flag Raising Ceremony at Camp Gen Martin Teofilo B Delgado, Fort San Pedro, Iloilo City on Monday.
According to Villacorte, the 500 PPEs will be turned over to the different police units in the region.
The continued support coming from other agencies is a proof that PNP personnel in Western Visayas has gained the trust and respect of the stakeholders.
“These donations will be a big help to enhance PNP’s capability in protecting its personnel while battling COVID-19”, Villacorte added.
