PRO-6 posts anew zero focus crime in 24 hours

When zero is being celebrated. Well, at least for focus crimes in Western Visayas.

In a span of 24 hours, the Police Regional Office (PRO) 6 logged zero incident, as far as the eight focus crimes, is concerned.

It has not recorded a single case of murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, robbery, theft, carnapping (motor vehicles), motorcycle theft and kidnapping was recorded from 6 a.m. of August 27 until 5:59 a.m. of August 28.

Police Brigadier General Randulf Tuaño, Western Visayas police chief, said that the zero incident of focus crimes is a product of the their relentless and coordinated campaign and operations all over the region.

But while there was no incidence of focus crimes, police has continued its intensified law enforcement operations.

According to the PRO-6 Significant Accomplishment Report, fifteen loose firearms were voluntarily surrendered all over the regions

One explosive was also turned in to police authorities.

“Ang bawat baril na kusang isinusuko ay isang potensyal na banta na naaalis sa ating mga komunidad, habang ang bawat wanted person na ating naaaresto ay isang mahalagang hakbang upang matiyak na ang mga may pananagutan sa batas ay mahaharap sa tamang proseso,” he said.

Tuaño added that they are strictly enforcing their intelligence-driven and coordinated operations, along with the strengthened police presence and security measures.

Meanwhile, the manhunt operations led to the arrest of 27 persons, including six persons on the most wanted list and 21 Other Wanted Persons.

Tuaño said that the police have also continued to conduct law enforcement operations and security measures.

He also asked the public to continue supporting the police’s campaign against loose firearms and all forms of criminality by providing relevant and timely information.
