The Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 only has one active COVID-19 case among its personnel so far.
Before the latest case, PRO-6 had been enjoying zero active case in the past weeks.
Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis, PRO-6 spokesperson, said that the low to almost nil case number could be due to the high vaccination turnout among uniformed and non-uniformed personnel.
PRO-6 has a vaccination rate 99.40 percent. Those who are not yet vaccinated or fully-vaccinated have underlying reasons such as lactating or pregnant mothers and those who have existing diseases.
As of April 6, PRO-6 has recorded 1,630 cases including 1,623 recoveries and 6 deaths.
Iloilo Police Provincial Office (IPPO) recorded the most number of cases at 316.
Negros Occidental PPO has the second most number of cases at 268; Bacolod City PO with 187; Aklan PPO with 184; Antique PPO with 143; the PRO-6 regional headquarters with 121; Iloilo City with 117; the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 (RFMB-6) with 69; the PRO-RHQ Regional Personnel Holding and Accounting Unit (RPHAU) with 68; and Guimaras PPO with 51.
Meanwhile, ICPO and NOCPPO recorded two deaths while Iloilo province and RPAHU with one each.
Solis said administration of booster shots to fully vaccinated personnel are ongoing. Those who have received their booster shots are at 87.40 percent.
