The region’s top cop praised police operatives for arresting two drug suspects and seizing 35 grams of suspected shabu on Thursday afternoon in Jaro, Iloilo City.
Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, director of Police Regional Office 6, said the recent accomplishment reflects the unwavering commitment of Ilonggo cops in the war against illegal drugs.
“Thank you for tirelessly pursuing illegal drug traders. Let us not stop until we put them all behind bars,” he said.
The suspects, identified by their aliases John and Joy, were apprehended after handing over one heat-sealed sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer for P2,000.
A search conducted following the arrest yielded another 12 heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu.
The suspects are detained at the Iloilo City Police Station 3 pending the filing of charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
