BACOLOD City – Colonel Noel Aliño is now the full-fledged director of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) here effective June 21.
Aliño made the announcement late Tuesday night, July 4. The order came from Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 by command of Police Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor.
It was signed by Police Major Danny Lamera, officer-in-charge of the Regional Personnel and Records Management Division.
Aliño took over as acting city director of the BCPO on April 18, succeeding Police Colonel Thomas Joseph Martir, who was about to retire that time in May.
It’s been more than two months since Aliño was assigned here, and a huge volume of illegal drugs have been seized in a series of buy-bust operations under his stint.
