PRO-6 deploys 316 newly-trained rookie cops

Different police offices all over Western Visayas have been reinforced with additional warm bodies.

The Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) has deployed 361 policemen immediately after they finished their Basic Internal Security Operations Course (BISOC) on Oct. 2, 2021.

The rookie cops entered the service on Feb. 1, 2017 and Oct. 8, 2018.

Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Solis, PRO-6 spokesperson, said the PNP BISOC Classes 05 to 11–R6 have officially ended their 45-day rigid training.

Solis said that BISOC is one of the mandatory courses before a police trainee will be considered as a full pledged police officer.

“The training develops discipline, character, skills and knowledge in terms of internal security and other police operations,” he added.

The Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 (RFMB-6) will get the most number of personnel with 69 while the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) has been assigned 63 personnel.

On the other hand, 59 rookie cops were deployed to Aklan Police Provincial Office (AKPPO), with 50 of them to be assigned to Malay Police Station.

Thirty-five policemen went to Guimaras Police Provincial Office (GPPO), 31 to Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO), 30 to Capiz Police Provincial Office, 18 to Bacolod City Police Office, nine to Iloilo Police Provincial Office, and two to Antique PPO.

Topping the class were Patrolmen/Patrolwomen Arrajade Celestial Mirasol, John Keneth Jomil Gerasmia, Ellija Santuyo Balquin, and Rey Anthony Trujillo Yoder,

The class top 2 were Patrolmen/Patrolwomen Liza Jo Gregorio Lobaton, Jay-r Relator Flogio, Marven Vicente Yola, and Joneto PioNelson.

The class top 3 were Patrolmen/Patrolwomen Rhea Mae Linogon Saratobias, James Damandaman Vecinal, Renz Sevillano Galvez, and Jessie Babor Gingona.

Coinciding with the BISOC graduation is the opening of BISOC classes for 560 neophyte police officers.

They will undergo a 45-day training at the 2nd Iloilo Police Mobile Force Company, Camp Jalandoni, Sara, Iloilo.

The training will hone their skills in both administrative and police operations.

Brigadier General Rolando Miranda, Western Visayas police chief, presided over the ceremony.

He cited the Graduating BISOC Trainees and their training instructors for the committed efforts in honing the skills of the trainees in preparation for their next assignments in the different mobile forces region-wide.

“For the graduating class, kung ano ang itinuro ng mga Instructors na natutunan nyo, gampanan nyo ng mabuti ang trabaho at isagawa nyo ang mga bagay na itinuro sa inyo,” Miranda said.

He also encouraged the incoming trainees to be physically and mentally prepared for the training.
