The Police Regional Office-6 surpassed the PHP 500 million mark in illegal drug confiscations in 2025, based on year-end operational data.
From Jan. 1 to Dec. 31, 2025, police units seized PHP 514 million worth of illegal drugs in 1,806 anti-drug operations across Western Visayas.
The confiscated drugs included 75.311 kilograms of shabu, 21.685 kilograms of marijuana, and 1 gram of kush.
Authorities valued the seized shabu at PHP 512.120 million, while confiscated marijuana was estimated at PHP 2.602 million.
The largest single drug haul was recorded in Barangay Aldeguer, Sara, Iloilo, on Nov. 15 following the arrest of alias Cheche, 37, of Barangay Poblacion Zone 1, Estancia, Iloilo; her live-in partner Almar, 34, of Barangay Pa-on, Estancia; and her brother Raul of Barangay Calapdan, Estancia.
Cheche, known as the “Drug Queen of the North,” and her companions yielded about 1.8 kilograms of shabu with a standard drug price of PHP 12.240 million.
PRO-6 spokesperson Maj. Lailyn Sencil clarified that the data included operations conducted by the Bacolod City Police Office and the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office before their integration into the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region on March 27, 2025.
Records showed the Iloilo Police Provincial Office logged the highest value of confiscated shabu at PHP 191.916 million.
The Iloilo City Police Office ranked second with PHP 148 million, followed by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 with PHP 91.915 million.
During the nearly three months before their transfer, Negros Occidental police operatives seized PHP 34 million worth of shabu, while Bacolod City police confiscated PHP 16.622 million.
The Capiz Police Provincial Office seized PHP 16.639 million worth of drugs, Antique Police Provincial Office recorded PHP 10.818 million, and Aklan and Guimaras police offices each confiscated slightly over PHP 1 million.
In terms of marijuana volume, Capiz Police Provincial Office led with 15 kilograms valued at PHP 1.8 million.
The Iloilo Police Provincial Office seized 3.786 kilograms worth PHP 453,332, while the Iloilo City Police Office confiscated 2.5 kilograms valued at PHP 300,540.
The Iloilo City Police Office also topped the number of operations with 682, followed by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office with 379 operations.
Capiz Police Provincial Office conducted 107 operations, Aklan Police Provincial Office had 61, while the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 and Guimaras Police Provincial Office logged 50 operations each.
Antique Police Provincial Office conducted 43 operations, while Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office carried out 279 operations and Bacolod City Police Office conducted 155 during the nearly three-month period.
Records showed that 2,298 drug personalities were arrested, including 560 high-value individuals, 1,738 street-level personalities, and 48 unlisted suspects.
