ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A fire broke out in a classroom at Colegio de la Purísima Concepción (CPC), a private school in Roxas City, on Tuesday morning, Dec. 2, prompting the school to suspend classes at all levels.
Arson investigators from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) are determining the cause and extent of the damage to the classroom on the school’s main campus.
The fire started around 10:45 a.m. and was declared out a few minutes later, according to authorities.
Fire volunteers and personnel from the BFP-Roxas City responded to the blaze, with fire trucks from the Capiz Citizens Action Group augmenting the response.
No injuries were reported.
School officials suspended all classes while the investigation is ongoing.
