Prime Video released first-look images for Young Sherlock, starring Hero Fiennes Tiffin (After series) as Sherlock Holmes.
The series, executive produced and directed by Guy Ritchie, charts the detective’s origin story in an irreverent, action-driven mystery that follows Holmes’ early adventures.
Young Sherlock will premiere exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories in 2026.
With the wit and charm of Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes feature films, the series offers an explosive reimagining of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s iconic character’s early years.
Holmes is portrayed as a disgraced young man—raw and unfiltered—who becomes entangled in a murder case that threatens his freedom.
His first case uncovers a globe-trotting conspiracy that alters the course of his life.
Set in 1870s Oxford and unfolding across international locations, the series explores the antics of an anarchic adolescent who is not yet the famed resident of Baker Street.
Previously announced cast members include Dónal Finn (The Wheel of Time), Zine Tseng (3 Body Problem), Joseph Fiennes (The Handmaid’s Tale), Natascha McElhone (Halo), Max Irons (Condor) and Colin Firth (The King’s Speech).
Ritchie directs and executive produces, and Matthew Parkhill serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
Additional executive producers include Dhana Gilbert, Marc Resteghini, Simon Maxwell, Ivan Atkinson, Simon Kelton, and Colin Wilson, with Harriet Creelman and Steve Thompson as co-executive producers.
Motive Pictures led physical production for the series.
Prime Video continues expanding its global slate as part of Amazon MGM Studios’ push to build premium franchises and locally resonant content.
