ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Capiz 1st District Congressman Howard Guintu announced Wednesday, Feb. 18, that the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has proposed the opening of an off-site service center in Roxas City.
As the PRC continues to uphold its commitment to timely frontline service delivery, the commission is expanding its reach through the establishment of PRC off-site service centers nationwide, Guintu said in a media interview.
According to the congressman, Roxas City was approved by the PRC as a suitable site for the service center after the city passed the commission’s framework criteria, making it a convenient location for registered professionals in the area.
Among the key considerations was the distance of the regional office in Iloilo City, given that professionals from Aklan and even Masbate would benefit from a closer service point.
Services available at the PRC off-site service center include the application for licensure examinations, renewal of the Professional Identification Card (PIC), issuance of duplicate PICs, certification and authentication of the Certificate of Registration, PIC, Board Passing, and Board Rating, as well as change of status or name and state board verification.
The center will be under the supervision of PRC Regional Office 6, which covers the area.
The project is in line with the PRC’s collaboration agreement with Robinsons Land Corporation (RLC), which aims to bring government services closer to the transacting public.
