MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) has announced a scheduled power interruption on Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025, to facilitate the rehabilitation of its Mandurriao Substation.
The maintenance activity will affect various barangays and feeders in Iloilo City for up to 10 hours, with specific time slots and areas affected detailed below.
The 10-hour interruption will occur from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., impacting portions of Mandurriao Feeders 1 and 2, Megaworld Feeder 1, and Diversion Feeder 2.
Barangays fully affected include San Vicente, while portions of Bakhaw, Bolilao, Buhang Taft North, Luna Jaro, Magsaysay Village, Montinola, Nabitasan, Our Lady of Fatima, and Our Lady of Lourdes will also experience outages.
Additionally, a one-hour-and-thirty-minute power interruption is scheduled from 5 to 5:45 a.m. and again from 2:30 to 3 p.m., affecting all of Megaworld Feeder 1, Diversion Feeder 3, and La Paz Feeder 4, along with portions of Mandurriao Feeders 1 and 2.
Barangays fully affected during these shorter interruptions include Arguelles, Bantud, Calubihan, Cuartero, Desamparados, El 98 Castilla, Fajardo, Javellana, Libertad Isabel, Lopez Jaena, Magdalo, San Jose (Jaro), San Nicolas, San Roque, Seminario, and Taytay Zone II.
Partial interruptions will also impact Bakhaw, Benedicto, Bolilao, Burgos-Mabini, Democracia, Dungon A, Jereos, Laguda, Luna Jaro, Luna La Paz, Ma Cristina, Magsaysay Village, MH Del Pilar (Jaro), and Montinola.
MORE Power assured consumers that power restoration might happen earlier than expected if line works are completed ahead of schedule.
