Pontevedra police arrest laborer in homicide case

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A laborer with an arrest warrant for frustrated homicide was arrested Thursday morning, April 30, in Barangay Yatingan, Pontevedra, Capiz.

Police identified the suspect as “Logie,” 40, of Sitio Takas, Barangay Liong, Roxas City.

The warrant was issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Sesinio Navales Belen Jr. of Branch 15 in Roxas City on Dec. 9, 2024.

The court recommended bail of PHP 72,000 for his temporary liberty.

He is under the custody of the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Meanwhile, an inmate detained at the Capiz Rehabilitation Center was arrested again Friday morning, May 1, for unjust vexation.

The Ivisan Municipal Police Station served the arrest warrant against “Dolando,” 67, of Barangay Mianay, Ivisan, Capiz.

The warrant was issued by Municipal Circuit Trial Court Judge Ramcez John Honrado of Dao-Ivisan, Capiz, on Feb. 19, 2026.

The suspect remains detained at the Capiz Rehabilitation Center for proper disposition.
