BACOLOD City – Nearly PHP500,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized by policemen here and in Negros Occidental in the first month of 2021.
Twenty-five persons were arrested in separate buy-bust operations here and in the province in the past two weeks that resulted in the recovery of PHP456,920 worth of the said contraband from January 1 to 10, 2021.
In Bacolod, PHP263,200 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated, with the arrest of 10 persons in Barangays 2, 8, 19, 30, Mansilingan, Banago, and Vista Alegre. The operations were conducted by Police Stations 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8.
In the province, 15 individuals were apprehended in 11 areas that resulted in the recovery of PHP263,200 worth of the said drugs.
The operations were conducted in the cities of Cadiz, San Carlos, Escalante, Bago, Silay, Victorias, Talisay, Himamaylan, Kabankalan, and La Carlota, and the towns of Toboso and Ilog.
