A 21-year-old dispatcher was arrested in a buy-bust operation that yielded PHP 272,000 worth of suspected shabu in Barangay 3 on Saturday.
Police Major Eugene Tolentino, head of Police Station 2, identified the suspect only as “Jude,” a resident of the barangay.
Tolentino said the suspect was classified as a street-level and newly identified drug personality.
He said the suspect’s name surfaced during the investigation of previously arrested drug suspects, prompting authorities to launch an operation.
“We have been targeting the suspect for quite some time,” Tolentino said.
Police recovered approximately 40 grams of suspected shabu from the suspect.
Tolentino said drug charges will be filed against the suspect on Monday.
