Police seize more than P500K in ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – An estimated P532,960 worth of suspected shabu was seized from 30 persons in anti-illegal drug operations here and in Negros Occidental from July 1 to 6.
Bacolod police seized P277,960 worth of the said contraband while P255,000 worth of the same illegal drugs was confiscated in the province.
In Bacolod, 12 persons were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Barangays 2, 10, 14, Taculing, Singcang-Airport, Bata, and Mansilingan.

The operations were conducted by City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU), and Police Stations 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 from July 2 to 5.
In Negros Occidental, the drug bust operations and other police operations against illegal drugs were conducted in the cities of Bago, San Carlos, Sagay, Kabankalan, Talisay, and Silay; and the towns of Toboso, Hinoba-an, Binalbagan, and Murcia from July 1 to 6.
The biggest operation here was conducted in Barangay Singcang-Airport here, with P81,600 worth of suspected shabu seized from two persons last Monday.
Silay City recorded the biggest drug haul in the province with the confiscation of P88,400 worth of the same contraband from two persons, including a teenager, last Tuesday.
