Police nab city’s No. 5 most wanted in Pototan
The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) has arrested the City Level Rank 5 most wanted person for drug-related offenses in Pototan, Iloilo. Alias “Yanyan,” 32, single, a laborer, and a resident of La Paz, Iloilo City, was apprehended on Aug. 13, 2025, at the Department of Health Treatment and Rehabilitation Center in Barangay Rumbang, Pototan.

The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) has arrested the City Level Rank 5 most wanted person for drug-related offenses in Pototan, Iloilo.
Alias “Yanyan,” 32, single, a laborer, and a resident of La Paz, Iloilo City, was apprehended on Aug. 13, 2025, at the Department of Health Treatment and Rehabilitation Center in Barangay Rumbang, Pototan.
The arrest was carried out by the Iloilo City Mobile Force Company, in coordination with Iloilo City Police Station 2, the City Intelligence Unit, and the Regional Intelligence Unit 6.
The suspect faces charges for violating Section 11, Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, or possession of dangerous drugs, with no bail recommended, and Section 12, Article II, or possession of drug paraphernalia, with bail set at PHP 40,000.
The warrants of arrest were issued on Aug. 12, 2025, by the Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Branch 25, in Iloilo City.
Police Regional Office 6 Regional Director PBGEN Jose Fino D. Ligan commended the coordinated efforts that led to the arrest.
“This arrest is another testament to the relentless efforts of our police force in bringing law offenders to justice,” Ligan said. “We will continue to track down wanted persons and ensure that the rule of law prevails for the safety and security of Western Visayas.”
The suspect remains under the custody of the Department of Health Treatment and Rehabilitation Center in Iloilo.
