Police identify suspects in cop’s car robbery

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Police have identified persons of interest in connection with the ransacking of a police officer’s car, during which cash and a service firearm were stolen on Sunday morning, August 25, in Brgy. Bolo, Roxas City.
Punong Barangay Jeovany Balsote of Brgy. Bolo stated that four individuals captured on CCTV footage are suspected of breaking the windshield of the police officer’s car and stealing approximately ₱8,000 in cash and the officer’s service firearm.
The CCTV footage has been turned over to the Roxas City Police for further investigation and identification of the suspects.
The police officer and his family had parked their car and attended a holy mass at a nearby church.
Upon returning around 7 a.m., the officer was shocked to find the windshield of the car broken. He then discovered that the money and his service firearm were missing.
