ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Five members of the family of suspected foreign exchange forex investment scam architect Lourdes Bulaquiña Baarde were arrested Friday for syndicated estafa charges.
The joint team from the Warrant, Intel and Investigative Section of the Roxas City Police Station, Pontevedra Municipal Police Station, Panay Municipal Police Station, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group and Bacolod City Mobile Force Company collared the following:
-Roy Bulaquiña, 38;
-Norberto Bulaquiña, 69;
-Dominica Bulaquiña, 69; all residents of Barangay Oeste, Panay, Capiz, and
-Oscar Bulaquiña, 69; and Jennifer Bulaquiña, 43; both residents of Barangay Tacas, Pontevedra, Capiz.
The five were charged for syndicated estafa with no bail for their temporary liberty.
The warrant of arrest was issued by Roxas City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 17 Judge Lorencito Diaz Roxas City on Feb 15, 2020.
The suspects were detained at the lock-up cell of the Roxas City Police Station.
Baarde of Brgy. Baybay here and business partner Joel Domayan were earlier arrested by the police in Manila.
The two were detained at the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology in San Jose here.
