Alias Ayat, a 39-year-old farmer from Carles town, was apprehended in Barangay Poblacion at around 10:58 a.m. Friday.
Personnel from the Carles Municipal Police Station, in coordination with the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company, arrested the suspect by virtue of a warrant for two counts of violating Section 10(a) of Republic Act 7610, or the “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.”
The warrant was issued by the 6th Regional Trial Court, Branch 66, in Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, on Nov. 6, 2025.
A bail of PHP 80,000 for each count was recommended for the suspect’s temporary release.
