Operatives of the Iloilo City Police Office arrested one of Iloilo province’s most wanted persons on Thursday.
The suspect, identified only as alias Roming, 52, a resident of Barangay Zone 2, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo, was arrested Thursday afternoon, Jan. 8, in Barangay San Pedro, Molo, Iloilo City.
Personnel of Iloilo City Police Station 4, with support from the Sta. Barbara Municipal Police Station, arrested the suspect by virtue of a warrant for rape by carnal knowledge.
The arrest warrant was issued by Judge Ferdinand Thomas Derla Magallanes of the Regional Trial Court Branch 28 in Iloilo City.
No bail was recommended for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
Police said the suspect is ranked as the No. 8 most wanted person in Iloilo province and the top most wanted individual in Sta. Barbara town.
The suspect is currently under the custody of Iloilo City Police Station 4 for documentation and proper disposition before being turned over to the court of origin.
