BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) announced on Tuesday the postponement of the visit of Police General Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, chief of Philippine National Police (PNP) here.
Eleazar was initially scheduled to visit the police offices here and in the province on July 10, as part of the PNP chief’s command visit.
He was supposed to lead the inauguration of the Kapanalig Recognition Wall at Nocppo headquarters here, and the groundbreaking and inauguration of the flagpole and parade ground of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO).
According to Nocppo, the reason for the postponement was due to the elevated community quarantine status of the province from Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) last month to General Community Quarantine (GCQ) this month.
The new date for Elazar’s visit has yet to be announced.
