Following their transfer from the Philippine Superliga (PSL) to the Premier Volleyball League (PVL), the PLDT Home Fibr squad is picking up the best available talents in the free agency pool.
The former PSL club recently announced their transfer from the commercial league to the pros and will be joining the Ricky Palou managed volleyball league.
Starting off their huge off-season acquisition list, the PLDT squad was able to haul Eli Soyud, Chin Basas, Yeye Gabarda, and Nieza Viray.
These players will allow PLDT to enter the pro league with hopes of challenging Alyssa Valdez and the Creamline Cool Smashers for the PVL throne.
Aside from the veterans named, PDLT will also activate University of the Philippines power hitters Isa Molde and Marist Layug.
Both Molde and Layug confirmed that they will be skipping their final playing year in UP and will render their offensive services to PLDT.
“Masaya na sila sa nabigay ni Isa at Marist sa four years nila sa UP. Sa exposure at mga naibigay nila sa programa. Malaki yung nakikita kong future nila kasi excited akong ma-coach sila. Excited akong mabigyan ng ibang style of play, something new for them,” said legendary PDLT head coach Roger Gorayeb.
