In line with the Pintados de Passi Festival, the City of Passi also decided to hold a basketball tournament as one of the highlights of the festivities.
The best teams from all over Western Visayas will take the court in Passi City for the 1st Mayor Stephen Palmares Pintados de Passi Open Basketball tournament.
Eight teams will be joining the tournament, namely: DPWH, Hercor College, Western Institute of Technology, TEJ Builders, Guimaras Leopards, JKG, The Ogtonganons, and PNP.
The eight elite teams will battle each other to claim the first-ever Mayor Stephen Palmares Pintados de Passi tourney that will culminate on March 22.
With most of the teams already familiar with each other after facing off in the recently concluded Dinagyang Basketball Cup, the tournament’s conclusion will be highly anticipated.
