Two Filipinas are set to dazzle the mixed martial arts world as they are ONE Championship bound in the first-ever all-female card of the Asian fighting promotions.
Stalwarts Denice “Lycan Queen” Zamboanga and electrifying Filipino-American Jackie Buntan are seeking to score wins and increase their bid for a championship opportunity in their respective categories.
Zamboanga will square off against the tough and gritty “Arale Chan” Seo Hee Ham of Korea in the quarterfinals of the One Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix.
Eager to finally get that title shot against reigning world champion Angela Lee, Zamboanga is laser-focused heading into the fight as the no. 1 contender.
It has been almost one year since Zamboanga has been calling out the queen of the atomweight division and is only one win away of finally facing the champion.
Meanwhile, Buntan is also trying to rack up the much-needed wins in the strawweight division and is set to test Daniela Lopez of Argentina.
Zamboanga and Buntan will banner the Philippines at ONE: Empower on September 3 which will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
