BACOLOD City – A 15-year-old boy was seriously wounded after being run over by a pick-up truck in Barangay Banago here last Sunday.
The name of the minor-victim was withheld.
Based on the investigation, the victim fell from his bike when a tricycle he was tailing suddenly stopped, causing him to lose control.
A pick-up truck driven by a 43-year-old businessman overtook the tricycle and ran over the victim.
The pick-up truck driver alleged that he did not notice the victim who was already lying on the ground.
Police Captain Armilyn Vargas, head of Police Station 3, said the victim was taken to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here.
He was already stable while both parties reached an initial settlement, Vargas said.
