BACOLOD CITY — A 38-year-old man was arrested in a buy-bust operation that yielded 58 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 394,400 in Purok Progreso, Barangay Taculing, on Monday.
Operatives of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) identified the suspect only as “Kim.”
Police Lt. Richard Legada, assistant chief of the CDEU, said the suspect is considered a high-value individual.
The operation was conducted following reports and intelligence gathered from the suspect’s neighbors about his alleged involvement in illegal drug activities.
Legada said the suspect was also identified by a previously arrested drug offender.
Authorities carried out two weeks of casing and surveillance before launching the operation.
