BACOLOD City – An estimated PHP153,600 worth of suspected shabu was seized in buy-bust operations here from February 17 to 18.
Last Wednesday, the Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU)-6 arrested Arnold Corpus, 42, and Jason Serato, 24, both residents of Talisay City, Negros Occidental at Barangay Taculing.
Police recovered from them four sachets of suspected shabu worth PHP105,000.
Corpus was previously arrested for the same offense but was released through plea bargaining, according to a police report.
Both suspects are classified as “street level individuals.”
Also arrested that day in Barangay Bata was Ryan Ledesma, 35, of Victorias City.
Confiscated by police from him were two sachets of suspected shabu worth PHP6,800, and the PHP500 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 3.
On that same day, Rey Yungco, 41, of Barangay Villamonte, which resulted in the recovery of four sachets worth PHP6,800, and the PHP200 marked money. He is detained at Police Station 4.
The following day, AJ Vincent Montelibano, 18, of Barangay 2 was arrested at Barangay 6.
Police seized from him four sachets of suspected shabu worth PHP35,000, the PHP500 marked money, and an improvised tooter. He is detained at Police Station 2.
