ROXAS CITY, Capiz – An estimated PHP 100,000 worth of property was lost when a fire destroyed two houses on the morning of Sept. 2 at Sitio Sto. Niño, Barangay Mongpong.
Noel Docto, 48, said he was at school around 10 a.m. when he was informed about the blaze.
He said the fire quickly spread from his first house, which was made of light materials, to a second structure made of mixed concrete.
Docto said the fire may have been caused by children playing with a lighter or matches.
He added that none of his belongings were saved from the incident.
The Roxas City Bureau of Fire Protection is conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
