BACOLOD CITY – Police confiscated more than PHP1 million worth of suspected shabu in separate buy-bust operations in the cities of Silay and Kabankalan, Negros Occidental, on May 27 and 28.
In Silay City, a 41-year-old store caretaker known only as “Philip” was arrested in Barangay Lantad on Wednesday.
Police said the suspect yielded 120 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP816,000.
He was classified as a high-value individual.
No additional details were available as of press time.
In Kabankalan City, police arrested a 20-year-old unemployed man in Barangay Tabugon.
The suspect allegedly yielded 35 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP238,000.
Police Lt. Col. Roberto Indiape Jr., chief of the Kabankalan City Police Station, said the suspect was classified as a street-level individual.
He had reportedly been under surveillance for about a month.
The suspect claimed the drugs were sourced from Bacolod, Indiape said.
