PHP 10,500 lost in Panitan house fire

PANITAN, Capiz — About PHP 10,500 worth of property was destroyed after a house made of light materials was gutted by fire early Friday morning, Jan. 30, at Sitio Proper, Barangay Bahit, Panitan.
Police identified the homeowner as C.J. Breniosa, of legal age and a resident of the area.
Fire Officer 1 Ivan Diaz of the Bureau of Fire Protection in Panitan said they received a report from a concerned citizen at about 4 a.m.
The fire had already been extinguished when volunteers arrived at the scene, authorities said.
Investigators said no one was inside the house at the time of the incident.
Arson investigators are conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
