PHP 100K Worth of Drugs Seized in Tapaz Sting

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Police seized an estimated PHP 100,000 worth of suspected shabu in a drug buy-bust operation Saturday afternoon, June 21, in Barangay Carida, Tapaz, Capiz.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Jay-Jay,” is of legal age and a resident of Barangay Agcococ in the same town.
Recovered from him were five sachets of suspected shabu with a total estimated street value of PHP 100,000, PHP 1,600 in buy-bust money, drug paraphernalia, a coin purse, and a motorcycle used during the transaction.
The operation was jointly conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) and the Tapaz Municipal Police Station.
The suspect is currently under the custody of the Tapaz police.
Charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against him on Monday, June 23, before the Capiz Provincial Prosecutor’s Office.
