PHP 1.4 million lost in Cuartero house fire

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Property worth nearly PHP 1.4 million was destroyed when a concrete house burned Tuesday afternoon, July 21, in Barangay Agdahon, Cuartero, Capiz.

No one was injured in the fire that destroyed the house owned by Ninfa Malicusio.

The Cuartero Bureau of Fire Protection said it received the fire report at about 4:55 p.m. and immediately dispatched firefighters to the area.

Firefighters, residents, and other volunteers worked together to contain the blaze.

Authorities declared the fire out at about 6:08 p.m.

Arson investigators are working to determine the cause of the fire and the final amount of property damage.
