After suffering two losses from the Thailand U-23 team, the Philippine National Volleyball team managed to handle the firepower of the Thais to win the match, 25-19, 25-19, 25-15, 26-24. It was the fourth of numerous tune-up games the Philippines will hold in preparation for the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
The national team was back in full strength with Alyssa Valdez, Jia Morado, Jovelyn Gonzaga, Eye Laure, and Maddie Madayag joining the squad after their stints in the Premier Volleyball League.
The team looked confident and displayed wonderful execution of their offensive sets that caught the Thailand U-23 team off guard.
The PH squad is composed of Aby Maraño, Kalei Mau, Alohi Robins-Hardy, Ces Molina, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, Majoy Baron, Mylene Paat, Roselyn Doria, Kath Arado, and Dawn Macandili.
The national team will take on the Toray Arrows today, as part of their series of tune-ups.
