Team Philippines had a stellar run in the recently concluded 6th World Taekwondo Asia Poomsae Championships after bagging a total of nine medals.
The finest taekwondo jins from the country battled at the Nouhad Naufal Indoor Stadium, Beirut, Lebanon and tallied another strong finish from the past international taekwondo events they joined.
Aside from the overwhelming medal haul the PH had in the tourney, superstar jins Darius Venerable and Juvenile Crisostomo also received the tournament Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards.
Both Venerable and Crisostomo gave the country gold medals and were outstanding in their respective categories.
Venerable stood out against South Korea, Iran, and host country Lebanon in the final round of the male poomsae event.
Meanwhile, Crisostomo added another gold medal for the Philippine National Poomsae squad.
The job is not yet done for the national team as Kyorugi will be next in line today, Wednesday at the same venue.
