On April 23, Trade Secretary Cristina A. Roque joined President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in inaugurating VITRO Sta. Rosa, the Philippines’ first artificial intelligence (AI)-ready hyperscale data center.
Developed by VITRO Inc., the data infrastructure arm of the PLDT Group and a subsidiary of ePLDT, the 50-megawatt facility is strategically designed to support the growing needs of enterprises, hyperscalers and AI platforms.
The center features a GPU-as-a-Service solution optimized for high-performance computing and AI workloads.
As part of the program, President Marcos, Secretary Roque and other top officials joined a guided tour of the state-of-the-art facility to observe its hyperscale architecture and AI capabilities.

The inauguration also featured a ceremonial activation of the data center, a keynote speech by President Marcos and the formal unveiling of the facility.
Guests and media representatives later attended a luncheon, a networking session and a comprehensive site tour.
