ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Majority of the punong barangays of Sapian, Capiz passed a resolution calling for the ouster of the Liga ng mga Barangay president for failure to call monthly meetings.
Only three of the 10 village chiefs did not sign the petition against Liga President and Punong Barangay Gina Yelo of Bilao.
The petition also sought to declare the post of the Liga municipal president vacant to be followed by an election.
According to Punong Barangay Enrique Eroy, Liga vice president, Yelo failed to call for a meeting for several months already.
