Peñol elected PCL–Western Visayas president

Ex-officio Board Member and Philippine Councilors League (PCL)–Iloilo Chapter President Jo Jan Paul “JP” Peñol has been elected president of PCL–Western Visayas during the 2025 Regional Assembly Election on Dec. 10.
Peñol took his oath before PCL National Chairman Atty. Raul Corro.
In his message, Peñol thanked councilors across the region for their trust and pledged to continue strengthening inter-local government unit collaboration within the league.
“With humility and unwavering dedication, I step into this role ready to serve our councilors across Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras, Iloilo Province, and Iloilo City,” he said.
“Together with our newly elected officers, we look forward to strengthening partnerships, advancing meaningful programs, and building a more empowered and progressive PCL Regional Council,” he added.
He also congratulated the newly elected officers and emphasized that the work ahead requires unity and collective responsibility.
The other newly elected PCL–Western Visayas officers are:
- Vice Chairperson: Concepcion P. Labindao (Buruanga, Aklan)
• Secretary General: Marilou S. Delumpa (Nueva Valencia, Guimaras)
• Treasurer: Ricky M. Lavega (Caluya, Antique)
• Auditor: Joan B. Adonay (Dao, Capiz)
• Public Relations Officer: Jose Maria Miguel S. Treñas (Iloilo City)
Regional Council Directors:
• Edmar C. Reynaldo (Banga, Aklan)
• Nonito Q. Pasuelo Jr. (Pototan, Iloilo)
• Luvynne Gale V. Casco (Sibunag, Guimaras)
• Zoe Maria Felipe A. Herrera (Sapian, Capiz)
• Paolo B. Besa (Panay, Capiz)
• Brenda B. Magpantay (Nabas, Aklan)
• Ma. Eva D. Pacificador (Hamtic, Antique)
• Christy Love Custodio-Margarico (Guimbal, Iloilo)
• Noel C. Demafiles (Sebaste, Antique)
Peñol said the new slate will advance programs that promote stronger regional coordination and improved support systems for councilors across Western Visayas.
